Two pre-teen girls stood a short distance form me laughing behind their hands and obviously looking at me. You share my culture, you can put your own interpretation on this, it would probably be close to mine.
Later, it was interpreted for me........”This is Dorine. She is so beautiful, I like to just stand and look at her.......”
I need to renew my mind!!
awwww...cool! d.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are doing good, keep going and know your family is home praying for you and supporting you everyday. We love you and thankyou for being the body of Christ there.

We, as North Americans, have to recover the respect and love that their culture has not lost. Through all of their adversity, the Congolese have held on to what really makes people "human". As a culture becomes dependent ON machines I fear we become more LIKE machines. We thirst for fuel for ourselves and expend energies to meet the demands placed on us. How refreshing to witness true honor, wife of mine. Yes, we all have to renew our minds.
ReplyDeleteAnd the girls were right! This is Doreen - she is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove & prayers,

That's exactly what WE (your ever loving children) are thinking when we laugh at you behind your back!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBut seriously, We have ALWAYS known how beautiful and amazing you are! Missing you like crazy!!!

Why do we always think negatively of ourselves when others stare at us. Surely something must be out of place, a hem stuck where it shouldn't be, toilet paper clinging to our shoe or worse yet a zipper undone. It's when nobody notices us that we know all is well and we are fitting in. Is that what we really want? How did your dancing go?
