This is a row of shops selling various products. The interesting thing about them is that these are also the only homes of the shop owners! At night they put a curtain across the front. So their whole life is spent in these small 'tents'

Kinshasa
this city of 0ver 10 million people........
in Manitoba, my province, we are only 1.2 million people.
Yesterday, we drove from the city centre toward the outskirts, more than 90kms. We did not reach the edge of the city, but we certainly got an education!
For the moment, words fail me.......I will need some time......there are things that just don't 'fit' into our minds, never mind our words.......

Kinshasa
Kinshasa.........a city of over 10 million people! I saw them waiting for buses after work. The line was so long, I wondered how they would all get home. I am told some do not arrive home until midnight.....have a short sleep then start over the next day......
