The command of Jesus was not just to reach people, not just to make converts. He said make disciples. …… Making disciples is not a “been there, done that, check the box, let’s move on” project.
Making disciples takes time. It means forming trusting relationships. It’s not as glamorous. It doesn’t lend itself to measurable statistics or great photo ops. It certainly isn’t as exciting as “going where no Christian has come before”, but it is what we were told to do.
