OK, here's how it went down....

We packed all the bags.....totalling 450 lbs.!......(which incidentally fly cheaper per pound than I do!!)......then I loaded the dishwasher.......swept the floors down the hall towards the door.......noticed the dust on the coffee tables..........oh, forget it!......it will be there when I return :)
So here we are in Winnipeg......on the way in, my husband and I planned to have lunch in the eating area. We went to the shopping mall, shopped, got tired, he went to the car...I phone him...."you know why we are here?"........"to have lunch!" Response...."Oh ya....I'll meet you there!"
We're no stressed.....nope, not us!

Leaving home on Saturday morning, flying out next Tuesday.

Just a few reminders for those of you who are new here....

First of all....WELCOME!

Secondly, from here on, I will only be able to post when the power is working and I am able to get internet.......I will try to get a few pictures out to you over the next 2 months, however it can be difficult to post a picture if the internet is terribly slow and I may not be able to open this blog if there are too many pictures.

That being said, it would be encouraging to hear from you and know you are 'with me'.

Beausejour....

I was in Beausejour last weekend to share the stories of the Congo. What a great group of people! The response warmed my heart and encouraged me. I wish my Congolese friends could be with me to see, with their own eyes,  the love and concern of so many for them. They would be flooded with a sense of HOPE......a rare commodity for them!

I will do my best to convey your care for them and help them to understand that there is NOT a global indifference toward their suffering!
I am an ambassador......not of a country, but of a people...... people who wish to send their support in any way they can...... people with a global conscience...... people with a sense of justice on behalf of the oppressed...... people courageous enough NOT to look away.....

What an honour to represent such a singular group of people........thank you!
