Taking a few days R&R between a busy teaching schedule & the rigors of re-entry culture shock. (aka "who are you and what did you do with my home?")

Here is a quote from someone who has also experienced this phenomenon:
"When I come back home, I expect to understand everyone and for everyone to understand me – but because living in a foreign country has indelibly left its mark on me, i just end up confusing and being confused by everyone else, and I feel even more out of place and disjointed at “home” than I did in the foreign country."
I am thankful to have some time to prepare for re-entry, and time to say the heartbreaking farewells. Our family here have been so remarkable, I am at a loss to express my love and appreciation!

  1. Yes, well we will have our work cut out for us on this side of the planet I see. However, our love for you and our appreciation of what God has called you to do will make the transition fine. Remember that you have kept us well posted on what is going on so we will also well understand what you have gone through.

    Much love!
