For many years, orphaned children have received wonderful support to feed & clothe them, and send them to school. This is also the case for Bethsaida church in the Congo. Probably 35 children have been supported this way. So wonderful!

At age 18, when the support for these children ends, TBA realized an opportunity to assist them further.  We felt that marketable skills would empower them to live with dignity and independence.

Three orphaned children were selected for further training. I would like to share with you the message I received today from Pastor Raha our God-sent representative/missionary in DRC;

I'm so excited to share a successful story with you as a post COVID-19 TBA's impact in Bukavu, DR.Congo
TBA has been supporting marketable skill training for 3 youth (1boy & 2girls) last year the 2girls were successfully completed very well their training.
Today, I am happy to announce Benjamin's graduation with mechanics training! The boy is ready and out from his workshop and wants to make his own marketable services his living.
Mr. Benjamin passed a written exam and practical test with high distinction skills, in mechanics
I am so proud with this great impact & total empowerment for the homeless,  and hopeless youth. After his training he will make his own life and useful service that will be provided to the local population
These young people motivate so much their peers
Although, the need of such training is more and more needed for our orphaned teens

Blessings
Raha

We thank God for your support that helps us to do this!

We give Him glory and honour for the privilege of being a part of what He is doing on earth! This project is His way of doing things, and His heart for people!

Let us glorify Him together!!

When Eric & I were in Bukavu in 2020, God used cell group teaching to launch a number of groups in the city. Since that time, He has used these groups in a powerful way!

A couple of the groups have outgrown the use of individual homes. There is a new location called " Panzi" that is growing very rapidly. Most people are IDP "internally displaced people". The population is in need of many different kinds of assistance.

The gospel is the only answer to their various needs, like a spiritual medicine into their life struggles. Every week, there is prayer ministry, evangelism, counseling, and family visitation to encourage those who are in need.

They requested TBA to come alongside them in their need. TOGETHER (I really like that word) Together with others, we have been able to send a donation that will rent a space for them to gather as a community of believers.

THANK YOU for catching the vision!

(sorry for the delay in posting.... My mother died last week. 30 days short of her 100th birthday! God gave her many years of good health and strength)

Just looking at this photo reminds me of the value of the Word of God! You can see the Bible was highly valued by my friend! (he is now with the Word (Jesus) for ever!

May we all 'wear out' our Bibles! Especially in the uncertainty of the days we are facing!

70 orphaned children!

Bethsaida Church cares for all of them! This gathering was to provide food and non-food items for their needs. You can see Pastor Raha & Mapendo sitting in the middle. The children made a picture of them to say thanks.

TBA also supports this group.

The dear lady who wears this shoe, lives down a steep hill in Bukavu. When it rains, the path is similar to trying to slither through peanut butter!

Pastor Raha took Eric to visit her home.

They brought back a report that the rain was also falling INSIDE her home!

Eric sent word to some supporters in Canada and raised enough funds to construct a roof! You cannot imagine how much this meant in her life!

Thank you to all who responded to this need. You have reached out in the name of Jesus, to a needy widow on the other side of the world, and relieved some of her suffering!
