update...
we are here in Goma until some official travel papers arrive for me. Praying that will happen on Monday. We have had to change our flights. 😣 ( apparently, this is called the persevering face".....so we are persevering)

Farewell to Bukavu.....
3 hours to Goma, and then a day of meetings, followed by a flight to Kinshasa the following day.
My passport is in Kinshasa, not with me. I am only carrying pohotocopies, so I pray the airport will be content with that.
Please pray!
(why is my passport in Kinshasa, you ask?......getting a gov't visa renewal.....needed every 5 years)

busy Sundays.....
Sundays are very busy here. We spent time with 2 churches in the morning. This is Behtsaida;
there were 2 baby dedications. This one was a surprise for me.......meet wee Doreen Simba!

just normal life.....
The youth choir were singing an English worship song, so I thought I would join them! There were a lot of pictures taken....I wonder why? Could it be that I am rather 'youth-less'?
We were strolling down the lane leading to the church, visiting with people, sharing laughter & greetings. I am so blessed to be here!

This was the purpose of the trip. These are some of the ladies supported by our micro-finance post in Mudaka.
We had a very enjoyable time with them and learned a lot. I can not possibly write all they shared, but I will just give you some idea;
- I put my loan into my business, and it succeeded
- I have 5 children and this allowed me to send them all to school
- I am able to feed my family and my husband, and now I can eat every day, I feel so much better and stronger!
- I can even buy soap for us to wash ourselves
- I have joy in my heart because you have helped me to build my business. My children even have new clothes!
- people in this village looked down on me, I was nobody, I could only ask them for money so I could stay alive. Now I am a farmer! They even respect me! I am a big lady and I have my own money!
- I had no hope, now I have hope
- thank you, thank you, thank you! I pray God will bless those who support Wezesha (that is the name of the micro-finance group) I pray God will even bless their parents!
- Wezesha really helped me
- Wezesha transformed my life (to which everyone nodded their heads and clapped)
-----------------------
I give my thanks also to all of you who have enabled us to do this! This was a remarkable day! I thank God for those of you who stand with us! Without YOU, there is no US!
God bless you again and again!
