We have been having a conference leading up to Easter. We are really enjoying God's presence with us at our meetings!

This photo shows about 1/2 of the inside of Bethsaida Church....

There were 5 choirs, singing beautifully. The drums are amazing to me! It seems even the youngest can play.

This is the children's choir, I wish you could hear them!

our journey to church.....

this is the road leading to the church. When there has been heavy rain, we cannot drive here. We park down on the main road and walk in.

here is the view across from the church gate;

the entrance to the lovely church that God has blessed Bethsaida congregation with.

Tupendee Wazee (love our seniors)

Many of you have seen the singing, praying, and celebrating resulting from the gift of a quilt and material for a dress, for each of the seniors who attend the Tupendee Wazee group which was initiated by Mapendo and is supported by TBA.

Now I am hearing some of the stories. There were many many tears to see what to them, is a huge gift!

I found out that many of these seniors, who find mobility a real challenge, walk long distances to attend the meetings, and have never missed even one.

One lady, upon receipt of the dress material, told the whole group that this will be the dress she is buried in! She explained that she was going to spread the word to all her family members "You bury me in this dress, no other one, only this one!"

Thank you all for being a part of this wonderful story!

today......

still adjusting......

We spent 3 hours in the bank today. I was told it was a good thing there was air conditioning.
I didn't believe him........and then we went outside!      ☀️ ðŸ”¥ ðŸ˜Ž
Greetings from a VERY hot country!

Yesterday was the 25th anniversary of the day the genocide broke out. There were many gatherings where they read the names of those they have lost. They expressed that in losing children, they have also lost all those children would have done in their lives!

All traffic was halted for the day. It was a national day of deep mourning.

Rwanda

We are here in Rwanda for a couple of days before returning to Congo.

We have been told that tomorrow is a day of remembrance of the days of genocide. Apparently, there are 10 presidents from other African countries here!

Security is running high! Even to enter our hotel is like airport security!

A day of great sadness and losses recalled.

Please pray for this mourning country.
