Great report from our micro-finance post.......all loans are being repaid on schedule!
That can sometimes be an issue, but these ladies are remaining faithful to repay. They will then qualify for an increased loan by January. It builds their business gradually.
The report from the orphans and widows in Goma, is that 2 of them are quite sick. Please pray!

......bringing awareness of the suffering of our brothers and sisters in the D.R. Congo to the other side of the globe
...... not an easy message
...... often an unwelcome message
...... where to begin?
...... how to begin?
...... few are interested
...... but those who care, are wonderful people to know!
...... from the Congo, and also myself.....
...... our DEEPEST thanks and appreciation!!
...... people like you are rare and special!
...... can't wait to visit with you and tell you what a difference you have made in so many lives
Because of YOU
- children are in school
- youth are getting marketable skills training
- a young man is preparing for university
- 30 vulnerable women have been given a hand up
- a village has some water
- the hungry were fed
- the underprivileged found support and community
- the first ever seniors care group started
- hospital patients were provided for and supported, and a monthly program to continue this was initiated
- and much much more
The leader of one city told me that he is still receiving messages of how lives have changed since our visit 2 YEARS BEFORE!
He said "If I were to pass on all the positive feedback from that visit and the assistance received, I would be phoning you every day!"
I am the one hearing the encouraging reports, but YOU are the ones who deserve to hear them! I am only delivering what YOU have sent!
Please be encouraged today!
GOD BLESS EACH ONE OF YOU!!

2 day church conference
Yesterday we drove out to a remote area of the city to hold a conference in a small church.
It was a tight squeeze getting the Land Cruiser through these roads.......
The roads got more and more narrow, so we were happy to locate the church before we ran out of road!
After a warm welcome, we took turns teaching. The first photo is Pastor Raha......the second is this missionary......and our fantastic translator....(everything required 3 translations, English, Swahili, and Lingala!)
We shared a wonderful meal together. Meet the cooks....
We are so thankful for the successful time spent with these gracious people!
God answered our prayers.
