As we drove out to the rural areas, we often passed this spot. Beautiful isn't it? The drop-off beside the road was quite steep. This woman carried those rocks up the hill, on her back! The rocks are used for the roads.

This is one of the women from the Kavumu class. I am holding the youngest class member! I am sorry you can't see the baby's face, you will have to take my word for it.......beautiful!!!
For those of you who are wondering.....yes..... Kavumu is the one we call 'the goat church'!

This school teaches children from the slums of Bukavu. Children whose parents cannot afford to send them to a public school. Without this education, the children would have no hope for a better future! Donations sent helped to keep the school open.............THANK YOU!!!

Some of the leaders wearing their new glasses. The Lion's Club sent 60 pairs to distribute to those in need. There is a very great demand for glasses, and they were so happy to receive them. Their ability to read was restored .....now that is a VERY great gift!! I was commissioned to convey their immense appreciation.
