This school teaches children from the slums of Bukavu. Children whose parents cannot afford to send them to a public school. Without this education, the children would have no hope for a better future! Donations sent helped to keep the school open.............THANK YOU!!!

Some of the leaders wearing their new glasses. The Lion's Club sent 60 pairs to distribute to those in need. There is a very great demand for glasses, and they were so happy to receive them. Their ability to read was restored .....now that is a VERY great gift!! I was commissioned to convey their immense appreciation.
Thank you Lion's Club! (I will be asking for more glasses next year!  :)  )

This picture tells you how the pastors feel about the certificate they received for the ministry training!

Bethsaida Church in Bukavu has initiated a ministry they call 'Manna Ministries'. The above picture is their logo. It is the umbrella organization for supporting education for children too poor to attend other schools; supporting those who go into the prison to teach, visit and encourage; finding care and function for orphan children; supporting the fledgling handicapped children's program; and providing training and resources for rural pastors who have not had any support. In addition, we are searching for optometrists, carpenters, teachers, electricians, plumbers, farmers.......anyone who will provide even a short term training for people. It is ALL so needed! This year, I was given Crocs (shoes) for children, school supply kits, mens kits, sewing kits, 60 pair of reading glasses (thanks to the Lion's Club), and of course 160 pearl necklaces (search earlier posts for an explanation).
IF YOU MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN COMING WITH ME TO HELP (even short term can offer more than you can imagine), PLEASE CONTACT ME!!! Donations would also be welcome!
