Daily life in Congo is labour intensive and evolves slowly. Some of their constraints are unimaginable to people in the West. But through their tireless work, they seek to rebuild their society.

Money is hard to come by and the main priority is making $1. so their family can have an evening meal. Tomorrow is another day and few people think about the future.

Matthew 6:34 ...."tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

Can you see how this church shines? Here are the diligent workers who make that happen;

Covid has intensified this issue. The situation is getting worse in the Democratic Republic of Congo
The most recent UN report states "Levels of hunger in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) are at a “staggering” record high. DRC is home to the highest number of people in the world, who are in urgent need of food security assistance. 27.3 million people face “acute” food insecurity ”

Another report states "When it comes to the DRC, the world is increasingly tuning out. Donors are pulling back."

TBA is not "tuning out" and our donors are not "pulling back"!!
We praise God for those of you who stand with us enabling us to respond!
Our expressions of thanks are too small to reflect the degree of our gratitude!

Here is evidence of Together Building Africa's response, because of you. This is Tupende Wazee, our seniors group meeting last week;

We play only a tiny role in the overall problem, but it IS a role! No one can do everything, but perhaps we could all do something?

Tupende Wazee

 These dear ladies come weekly to the support group, where they are fed, encouraged, and connected with others who share the same struggles.

The value of these things has increased their health, happiness and quality of life!

There is no running water, so they are taking around a basin and some clean water for each one to wash their hands.

 Years of war has left many children with no family. Bethsaida Church takes in as many as they can. To give you some idea of how this looks (much as we hate to look!)......

24 of these little ones receive monthly support, which provides education, food, and a little medicine if needed. However, there are now 70 of them!

I wonder if we could do a bit better?

May God help us!

 For many years, orphaned children have received wonderful support to feed & clothe them, and send them to school. This is also the case for Bethsaida church in the Congo. Probably 35 children have been supported this way. So wonderful!

At age 18, when the support for these children ends, TBA realized an opportunity to assist them further.  We felt that marketable skills would empower them to live with dignity and independence.

Three orphaned children were selected for further training. I would like to share with you the message I received today from Pastor Raha our God-sent representative/missionary in DRC;

I'm so excited to share a successful story with you as a post COVID-19 TBA's impact in Bukavu, DR.Congo
TBA has been supporting marketable skill training for 3 youth (1boy & 2girls) last year the 2girls were successfully completed very well their training.
Today, I am happy to announce Benjamin's graduation with mechanics training! The boy is ready and out from his workshop and wants to make his own marketable services his living.
Mr. Benjamin passed a written exam and practical test with high distinction skills, in mechanics
I am so proud with this great impact & total empowerment for the homeless,  and hopeless youth. After his training he will make his own life and useful service that will be provided to the local population
These young people motivate so much their peers
Although, the need of such training is more and more needed for our orphaned teens

Blessings
Raha

 We thank God for your support that helps us to do this!

We give Him glory and honour for the privilege of being a part of what He is doing on earth! This project is His way of doing things, and His heart for people!

Let us glorify Him together!!
