challenge...(again)....

nearly two million people live on less than a dollar a day! I have seen some of them. Can you imagine it...fasting frequently, or buying food for the family, worth less than a dollar. Your drink of choice is water.... boiled.... only if you can afford the charcoal...driving anywhere is out of the question.....everything is walking. I have seen women and children walking many miles each day to come into the city to sell their fish, or vegetables, and then walk all the way back home, to repeat the process the next morning. A family member at home is catching more fish or searching for more vegetables to sell, because, at the end of the day, they will have done well to come home with that dollar.
I'm sorry that it is such a tale of grief....I know you would probably rather not hear it.....
I would rather that it did not exist as a problem, and I try not to look at my lifestyle, because the contrast cries out....
It has been suggested that it would be better if I had never gone.....! As though not looking is a solution.
My husband and I remain committed to making a difference....bringing comfort & aid....one person at a time....somewhere in the process is a joy that cannot be described.....
Will you help?
